Milcotec story

2007-2011

Milcotec was founded in 2007 by Gerth Petersen, whose many years of experience in the industry enabled him to see an opportunity to offer a better service at a keener price. The company was set up from scratch but rapidly grew to 10 people, providing customers with new and used spares, 24-hour on-call service and repair of customers’ own spare parts. Having all these services in a single supplier was a unique and attractive feature that has remained unchanged ever since.

2011-2018

Milcotec prospers, and in 2011 and 2015 it becomes the Danish agent for Dairy Master from Ireland and Urban from Germany. Over this period, Milcotec builds up a great store of know-how, and the company now becomes the preferred all-round partner and one-stop shop for customers.

2018-2021

Milcotec undertakes a digitalization programme enabling customers to purchase spare parts etc. simply and conveniently on a new, modern website. Milcotec takes the lead and once again sets the standard for the service the preferred partner should provide in the future.

2021-2023

Milcotec has officially taken over Årslevgård Landbrug and transformed it into their demonstration farm. With 500 dairy cows and 160 hectares of land, the farm will now become a center for Milcotec's agricultural technology. In addition to maintaining a healthy and efficient operation, plans for an area with vegetable gardens and the establishment of a forest area emphasize Milcotec's focus on sustainable practices. The project aims to strengthen rural-urban ties and offer unique experiences for the local community.

Milcotec acquires KVIA, a leading manufacturer of cow brushes. Due to the increasing demand for their cow brushes, which include models such as Karoline, Molly, Nora and Otto, KVIA has outgrown its current premises in Vejle. The strategic acquisition is expected to strengthen Milcotec's position in the market and expand their product portfolio. After the acquisition, KVIA will continue its production as a subsidiary under Milcotec's management and plans to move to larger premises in Varnæs in 2023.

Milcotec has just announced their recent acquisition of Rødaagaard, which includes two new properties and nearly 500 animals. Their future plans involve letting the revered dry cows enjoy life at Rødaagaard, while the focus on milk production and storage facilities remains at Årslevgård Landbrug. This strategy is expected to increase the total dairy cow herd to around 750 and expand the land holding to 270 hectares.
