Calf feeding: Urban Milkshuttle takes the strain
‘A big plus with our Urban Milkshuttle feeding cart is that it ensures the milk replacer is mixed totally consistently, and it keeps it heated to a constant temperature of 40-42 degrees so that the calves don’t get diarrhoea’, says veal calf producer Kim Pedersen.

Aarslevgaard Farm decides on a DairyMaster 2x18 swing-over
Milking just needs to work from day to day. Jørn Friis Møller has learnt this the hard way. He is the 14th generation on Aarslevgaard, his family farm at Aarslev near Rødekro. Since 2002, the herd here has grown step by step from 60 cows in a tie-stall shed to the current 500 Holsteins in modern parlours with resting areas.
Milcotec’s team of engineers
The engineer team is an important part of Milcotec’s business. The team is composed of workers with many years’ wide-ranging experience in the technical maintenance of machinery and milking robots, IT, communications etc. This expertise comes in very handy when the engineers go out to farms and need to locate a fault, for example, or get systems communicating properly.

At Rødaagaard in Klovtoft, near Rødekro, Martijn Berends has swapped his milking robots for the Dairymaster milking system. Twice a day, the cows are driven out of the shed to the outdoor milking parlour.
The solution has given far more satisfaction, quality and freedom, says Martijn Berends.
Welfare pen with leased robot
Hans Julius Skøtt Lervad from Hvejsel near Jelling has leased a robot from Milcotec, enabling him to improve his parlour at no great expense.
Deep bedding. Soft rubber flooring. And plenty of room for the herd’s band of new calvers. Plus an A2 Lely robot the cows can go to and be milked as often as they like.
New milking parlour to be installed while the old one is in use
Jørn Friis is busy with the harvest, but has taken a break. He stands outside the milking parlour and points inside – this is where the milking parlour is, and also where the new one will be fitted. The parlour will be installed during September, and the metalworker and engineers will have to get in between milkings, because production has to be attended to at the same time.
